In an effort to get my husband and I to eat healthier, I’ve been experimenting with a variety recipes I’ve found both online and in cookbooks. With so many options, I decided to compile my favorite recipes and share them on this blog, Light, Love and Life, for anyone who wants to enjoy low-calorie meals while still feeling satisfied.
When I feel like cooking, I have 3 simple rules for finding meals:
1) Lean protein (most of these dishes are seafood, but there are some chicken and red meat meals too)
Occasionally I will try to cook something tricky, but most of these recipes can be weeknight meals. I made sure to write prep and cook times at the top of each recipe so you know if it’s feasible to make after work or not.
As my personal cookbook expands, I hope yours will too! And because I am not a master chef by any means, I’d love to hear any additions, subtractions, and substitutions you make to these recipes to make them even better!
